JOLBY & FRIENDS INTERNSHIP

A creative studio that knows how to have fun while working hard. They are the definition of "Ride the Weird".

Here I learned what it's like to work for a smaller sized studio.

This place taught me the skills you can't necessarily show in your finished work — It's a skill set that's shown in the way you work

Collaboration:

Throughout my internship, I was given many opportunities to work with other designers. At Jolby I learned how to bounce ideas and files back and forth all while taking creative feedback in the process.

File Management:

I learned to stay organized with my files. This allowed for efficiency and quick work flow.

BRUSH CREATING

Jolby taught me how to use brushes in photoshop. Throughout my internship I learned how to use a Wacom tablet for the first time.

Their brush workshops elevated my illustration skills and allowed me to explore in different styles.

Style Adaptation:

I also learned how to adapt my style to the task at hand. Some projects call for particular styles of illustration and having a wide variety of brushes made it much easier to illustrate.

RIDE THE WEIRD

As you can see, they truly are the definition of "Ride the Weird".
